Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially aware Estimator to support the pre-construction team in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial fit-out projects. You will play a critical role in winning new business by producing high-quality tenders and ensuring pricing aligns with project scope and company margins.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial fit-out projects
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents
- Conduct quantity take-offs and pricing exercises
- Source and obtain quotations from subcontractors and suppliers
- Build and manage tender submissions from enquiry to submission
- Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options
- Collaborate with design, commercial, and delivery teams
- Maintain cost databases and benchmarking information
- Support bid strategy and ensure competitive yet profitable pricing
- Assist with post-tender negotiations and clarifications
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as an Estimator in commercial fit-out or construction
- Strong understanding of hospitality, retail, or restaurant projects (preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Experience with take-offs and pricing tools (Excel essential)
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple tenders
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
